New Jersey residents can take advantage of a 20% discount on the energy generated by this local community solar farm by reserving their own share of solar energy. Once the solar project's construction is completed, it can be connected to the local utility grid and start generating credits for local residents who have subscribed to receive a share of its energy. The average Neighborhood Sun community solar subscriber offsets half of the average American's annual carbon footprint while saving money on electricity costs. As a part of our efforts to ensure solar access and savings for people of all income levels, more than half of this solar project's energy is reserved for residents who qualify as low- and moderate-income (LMI).
